NH Women's Music Festivals & Concert Series

Friends and family,

The music festival and the concert series are truly volunteer events. From its inception in 1993, the New Hampshire Women's Music Festival has been planned and executed by volunteers who come together in their non-working hours to create this much loved event. Every year, many of those attending also choose to spend some time volunteering in one way or another. In fact, even the event organizers purchase their own entrance tickets. Volunteering can connect you with others, you can make new friends and feel good about helping to make the event a success.

Today we are at a turning point. To move forward and continue this musical tradition, we are forced to recognize those things that are holding us back, and we need to address our obstacles in a realistic way. Our biggest challenge from the beginning has been financial, and it continues to be so. Organizationally, there have been shifts in people's commitments and ability to give so much time to this effort. We have an urgent need to reorganize and re-energize our organizing committee. And with reinvigoration of the committee, we must prioritize financial issues, fundraising and sponsorships.

We are looking for people who are interested in joining the organizing committee, especially if you have expertise or experience in PR or fundraising. We need you even if you have no experience, but you have a drive and a commitment to doing the work that will get us back to where we want to be. And that is a place surrounded with the music and spirit that we have celebrated all these years. Please help us keep the New Hampshire Women's Music Festival and Concert Series alive!
